Tyler Mahard is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Watertown, Connecticut. He performs original material along with folk and blues renditions of classic rock songs, crafting his music with his voice, acoustic guitar, and harmonica. His sound is raw and drawn from his core.
Before moving to Connecticut to pursue solo work, Tyler performed in Maine, New
Hampshire, Boston, and Connecticut with acoustic duos Travel IOU and Moneywood. He has played lead guitar, drums, and bass in several rock bands. He began taking drum lessons at age nine, and started playing guitar and writing music while in high school.
Tyler has a passion for the natural world that frequently makes its way into his songwriting. Along with nature, his biggest influences include Neil Young, Paul Simon, The Beatles, Tom Petty, and Bob Dylan.
